Short BUT SWEET
hit the water after my 2 mile run on treadmill… it’s all getting easier….
Did a 200m easy swim warm up

My 500 was pretty smooth. I’d like to time it next time……and oh by the way, i have now discovered just how crucial a decent warm up can be. On these days that I’ve hit the gym before the pool, my swim is so much easier and efficient versus days when i jsut go straight to the pool. It is now clear to me that on the day of my first race, i will definitely want to devote a good 20 to 30 minutes warming up.

Head pounding
i didn’t have any coffee beans this morning, so I didn’t get my morning dose of coffee. Had a smoothie, poached egg on w.g. toast, and went to the pool on the way to a dr.s appointment.
My head was throbbing with pain after only 400m, that I pushed myself to do a few more, but just couldn’t keep going, I was in so much pain.
So, regardless, i did get in 800meters. Not spectacular, but enough, and efficient.
I think tomorrow will be a rest day.

So my plan was to do 200, 100, 50 swim…but!!!! when I was coming into the wall after that 200 i felt so good i thought to myself “why stop? why not make it 300 instead… so then i was coming in at 300 and thought to myself, why not make it 400?” and SOOO I completed a whole 500 ! I am SUPER Stoked!
